Experts working at the shelter in Reykjavík and Akureyri provide various types of education about domestic violence, its nature, scope and consequences.

One of our important goals at the Women's Shelter is to focus on prevention and promote education and discussion about violence in intimate relationships. We offer education for the public, schools, companies and institutions, whether in Icelandic or English. It is common to review the definition of violence in intimate relationships, its manifestations, consequences and remedies. The activities and services that the Women's Shelter offers are also introduced. Such education takes about an hour, but we tailor the education and duration each time in line with demand, activities and audience.

The price for training is 50.000 ISK, based on approximately one hour.

The education is free of charge for schools.
