On June 5th, a successful conference was held at RU on protecting children from domestic violence. Auður Magnúsdóttir, project manager for children's work at the Women's Shelter, gave a talk entitled "Children in the Shadow of Domestic Violence - Experience and Reality", and so far this year, 67 children have stayed at the Women's Shelter in Reykjavík. It was really interesting and valuable to see people from different professions present their resources, compare books and engage in conversation about how we can better ensure the safety of children living with violence.
